I'll drink to that.本來是各種跟開關係敬酒乾杯之後說的一句話，常接在Cheers（乾杯）或Congratulations（恭喜）或一段祝福語之後，用法意思是車喝，我就為這事喝了吧！酒都
A： "Here's to a prosperous future."
那這一杯就為了美好的各種跟開關係未來吧。
B："I'll drink to that!"
為此乾杯！用法
現在延伸成美國人的車喝日常口語，不一定是喝酒才用，只要是贊成、同意，都可以用。例如：
A: I propose that we should change the next item on the agenda.
我建議，我們應該更改一下議程上的下一個項目
B: I'll drink to that.
我贊成。
drive someone to drink
（Ｘ）某人酒駕／開車載某人去喝酒
（Ｏ）搞得某人心煩意亂
「酒後駕車」不是drive to drink；而是drink and drive或drink-driving。例如：
He was jailed for four months for drink-driving.
他因酒後駕車入獄了四個月。
Drive someone to drink這個片語中的drive不是開車，而是「驅動、驅使」的意思，就像大家熟悉的”drive me crazy”的drive一樣，drive someone to drink是讓人煩到想要喝酒。例如：
The stress of this job will drive me to drink.
這份工作的壓力大得不得了。

Meat是肉，drink是酒，很多人認為這兩樣東西加在一起，meat and drink就是「酒肉朋友」或「大吃大喝」。酒和肉都是人們享受的事物，如果你說It's meat and drink to me. 意思是「對我來說是樂趣」，有點像「甘之如飴」、「樂此不疲」。
